Mission Statement:

To establish, maintain and enhance use of the water resources and facilities of the Lower Kananaskis River for all present and future users in a sustainable manner by fostering open communication between user groups and agencies.

Objectives:

1) To monitor and gather information on intensity and type of river use on the lower Kananaskis river on and off shore.

2) To work with Kananaskis Country to establish the carrying capacity of the river and the facilities.

3) To maintain and enhance a quality experience for all user groups.

4) To achieve a balance between commercial and recreational use of the water resources and facilities.

5) Liaison with service providers for the facilities to resolve common issues.

6) To ensure a safe environment on and around the river.

7) To preserve the natural environment for future generations.

8) To establish open communication between all user groups and agencies.
